17 May 2003 - How To Add a News Item
This box is for a caption to go with a picture chosen from the drop down list on the right, which are all of the images in image store.When you have read this click back on the latest news button and then follow these instructions.
Firstly you click on the "click to add a new news item" button and you will see several boxes appear.
The first three boxes are drop down lists for you to select a date, month and year.
The forth box is for the News Headline.
The fifth box is to allow you to select an index image / icon that will be displayed in the list of news items.
The six box is for the index description - to provide a brief note about the story.
The two larger boxes on the page are for the main story text. To the right of the smaller box is an image drop down box, this allows you to chose a larger image to be displayed with the main content of the story.
The box beneath the main content area says "browse" next to it - this allows you to browse your hard disc or floppy disc drive and attach a file. The file might be a scanned in image, a document or a related news story.
The three boxes at the bottom of the page allow you to easily link to another of your web sites pages.
